Re: Sho and Aiba

There is SO much talk of drinking in my fics! Ah, well. Here's some Sakuraiba fluff!

---

“Sho-chan, I’m so sorry,” Aiba groans, sitting back against the bathroom wall.

“Stop apologizing,” Sho insists, handing Aiba another glass of water. “It’s not like we haven’t been through this, before.”

“But I was drunk the other times!” Aiba protests. “It was manly! There’s nothing manly about having a stomach virus.”

Sho laughs.

“Trust me, you’re not a very manly drunk. Aggressive, maybe.”

“What does that mean?” Aiba asks, squinting against his headache. “Ne, Sho-chan.”

Sho smiles at his friend’s pathetic state, standing up to fix him a wet washcloth.

“I’m aggressive when I drink? What, like, I fight with people?”

“Not exactly.”

“I hate it when Sho-chan’s cryptic.”

“Let’s make a deal,” Sho says, kneeling to put the cloth on Aiba’s forehead. “I’ll be less cryptic, and you stop calling me Sho-chan.”

Aiba frowns for a moment before rephrasing: “What do you mean, then?”

“It’s just,” Sho hesitates, chuckling. “You get a little gay when you drink.”

“Gay? Like what? Like Jun hands?”

“Like Nino and Ohno.”

“Uwaa, that’s bad,” Aiba says, grimacing. “With Jun?”

Sho shakes his head.

“No, no. With me.”

“With Sho-chan?” Aiba repeats.

Sho would correct his speech, but Aiba looks flushed, again.

“Are you going to throw up?” Sho asks.

“I might.”

“Do you want me to leave?”

Aiba grabs Sho’s arm, staring ahead.

“No.”

“Okay…”

“What kind of things have I said to Sho-” Aiba halts. “You?”

“That I’m smart, handsome, whatever. It’s okay Aiba, it doesn’t bother me.”

“It should bother you, though. That kind of thing should bother you.”

“Why?”

Aiba bites his lip, wincing as his headache pulses.

“Because,” Aiba stammers. “If it doesn’t bother you, then how do I stop?”

Sho helps Aiba up off the floor.

“I think you’re getting delirious,” he says. “You should lie down.”

“I’m sorry,” Aiba mumbles.

“It’s okay,” Sho repeats.

He kisses Aiba’s forehead, and it seems like his lips stay there for a long time. Aiba knows, because he holds his breath. Sho leads Aiba back to the bedroom and Aiba falls asleep again in minutes, comforted by the weight of Sho’s body on the edge of the bed. Aiba could swear he hears someone say "Masaki-kun," but it's probably just a dream.
