I think that while I can totally believe that maybe two of them end up gay for each other, the statistical probability of all five of them being totally hunky-dory with everything makes me go "Buh?" But it works for other people, and they enjoy it, and there's nothing wrong with that!

That's probably why this fic didn't hit that "Buh?" trigger of mine, too.

I'm sure they will survive it, though. Breaking up with people you care about doesn't mean that you lose them forever. In all likelihood, Sho will be okay, because it's not like they broke up with each other because they couldn't stand each other anymore or anything. It was done with love still intact. And in my experience, once you have a cool off period and get your feet back on the ground, that friendship will still be there. :)
