Title: Good Intentions [2/2]
Pairing: Sho/Jun, Ohno/Jun, Ohmiya
Rating: R (not very)
Disclaimer: In no way do I claim the following is/has/will happen. This is only fiction written for fun!
Summary: In which Ohno lies, Nino is bitter, and Jun tells it like it is.
A/N: I missed my deadline by about two weeks, didn't I? I won't set them in the future. Halfway through writing this, I realized "Good Intentions" doesn't necessarily need a sequel, but here it is, nonetheless, in it's angsty ambiguity! I have some more fic relating to "Alibi" in the works, so hopefully I can make it up to you.

Part one is here

Sho’s been acting funny all day, treating Jun like he’s radioactive and shooting guilty looks at Ohno between takes. Nino’s pretty sure that Sho must have made an ass of himself after Friday night’s party, but Ohno won’t tell him anything about it. Nino corners Ohno after filming and insists on going to his place for dinner. Ohno has plans, so Nino tells him that he’ll be over for breakfast.

“They fought, didn’t they?” Nino prods the next morning, dumping a bag of bagels on Ohno’s kitchen counter.

“Is that cinnamon-raisin?” Ohno asks, peeking in the bag.

“I can’t believe you,” Nino whines. “Their fights are hilarious. I like hilarious things. You’re denying me what I like.”

“Nothing interesting happened,” Ohno insists, looking through his cupboards for a clean glass.

“Then why did you wait until four in the morning to answer my messages?”

“I left my phone on silent.”

“And then you woke up at four and checked it,” Nino says, unimpressed.

“Yep,” Ohno answers. “Orange juice?”

“Just water,” Nino sighs. “You suck. You really suck.”

“If it makes you feel better, they didn’t fight,” Ohno says, carrying Nino’s things to the corner of his apartment that serves as the "living room."

“Did you and Sho fight, then?”

“I wasn’t involved in it,” Ohno grunts, frustrated.

“Aha!” Nino cries, nearly jumping on top of Ohno. “Something happened! Tell me already!"

Ohno fights him off with one hand, taking a bite of a bagel with the other. Nino gives Ohno a final shove and retreats to the other end of the couch.

“You’re acting like they hooked up or something,” Nino grumbles.

Ohno seems to have forgotten how to chew, stopping and staring at his food.

Nino's stomach flips.

“Ohno, what-” Nino says, halting. “How would you even know that?”

“Know what?” Ohno asks, still not looking Nino in the eye.

“Holy shit!”

Nino can’t believe he’s even following this line of logic, but Jun likes guys, and Sho’s a guy, and Sho does get kind of physical with Jun when he’s drinking. Somehow, the idea of Jun and Sho having drunken sex is not quite as unsettling as the thought of how Ohno would know about it.

“Nothing happened,” Ohno says, stirring his juice with a straw. “I was joking. Forget it.”

“Did you…see them?” Nino finally asks.

Ohno changes the channel on the muted television. Nino grabs the remote from his hand.

“It’s not like I climbed up and watched through a window,” Ohno snaps, face flushed.

Nino winces, picturing it. A sick feeling pools in his belly.

“I didn’t stay the whole time,” Ohno backtracks.

“I can’t believe you watched."

“They’re the ones who-” Ohno starts, giving up halfway and drinking his juice.

Nino has to leave, right now, so he pretends to check his phone for messages.

“Anyway," he sighs, as if he's suddenly become bored with the story. "I can't stay long. I’ll see you at the studio, okay?”

He can feel Ohno frowning at him as he walks away, but he doesn’t turn back.

“What about your bagels?” Ohno asks.

“Keep them,” Nino answers, his hand on the door. “I don’t think I like the sweet ones.”

- - - - - -

Nino sticks to Aiba during filming. He doesn’t know what to say to Ohno, and he’s sure that if he talks to Jun or Sho he’ll give himself away. Aiba’s “Arashi-senses” are, of course, tingling, and he does his best to thwart Nino’s plans with inside jokes and excessive hugging.

At the end of the game, Ohno is the weakest link. Nino tries to at least enjoy that. Ending up alone in the dressing room with Jun doesn’t make this easy.

“What crawled up your ass today?” Jun asks, playing with his hair in the mirror.

Normally, Nino would have a similarly bitchy response, but today he’s just tired.

“Nothing.”

“Ohno couldn’t stop hovering over you."

“Well, he does like to watch people, doesn’t he?” Nino replies, sounding much angrier than he intended.

Jun's face falls. Quickly, he turns and locks the door.

“You cannot say anything to Sho."

Nino pulls his shirt over his head in one motion, frowning at his reflection.

“I’m serious,” Jun continues. “He’s not handling it well, and if he knows that you know, then it will just make things worse.”

“Sho’s a big boy, isn’t he?” Nino asks, packing his things and glancing up at Jun.

Jun doesn’t look nearly as intimidating as he sounds, Nino thinks.

“Besides, you should have thought about all this beforehand - and don’t give yourself excuses, you hold your alcohol much better than Sho.”

“If I had known Sho would be so immature about it I wouldn’t have done it,” Jun sighs, sitting in one of the styling chairs.

Nino watches him, incredulous. Jun thinks they're having a heart-to-heart.

“I’m just glad I only gave Ohno a blow job,” Jun says.

Nino drops his bag and sits in the second chair, feeling like someone has just knocked the wind out of him. Jun rolls his eyes.

“It’s not a big deal.”

“Apparently not, since he didn’t tell me about it,” Nino mutters.

Jun shrugs.

Nino should really take a quiet moment to process things, but he decides to bark at Jun instead.

“What, Sho's dick wasn’t enough?” he asks.

“Excuse me?” Jun sits up straight.

He's genuinely startled. Nino sees that, but he can't shut his mouth.

“It just seems kind of slutty, don’t you think?”

One of the many things Jun cannot stand is that word, especially from Nino, but he doesn’t lash out like Nino wants him to. He just closes his eyes for a moment, then folds his hands in his lap and smiles.

“So, because you can’t touch Ohno's dick, no one should?” Jun asks, as politely as possible.

“What the hell were you thinking?” Nino demands, frustrated with Jun for not yelling back.

“I wasn’t,” Jun answers, throwing up his hands. “As much as you want to think we're all out to get you, it really had nothing to do with you. If you’re mad at Ohno, then you should talk to Ohno. That’s what 'big boys' do, isn’t it?”

Nino watches, defeated, as Jun stands up and pulls his messenger bag over his shoulder.

“Don’t you dare judge me," Jun says, finally showing a hint of anger. "At least I’m honest with myself.”

Jun leaves the door flung wide open. Nino sits alone with Jun's words until he hears a knock.

"Are you decent?" asks Ohno, peeking around the doorjamb.

Nino stares at Jun's empty seat for a moment before giving Ohno a small smile.

"What do you want?"

"Dinner?" Ohno asks, for the first time.

Nino picks up his bag and it seems heavier than he remembers. Ohno hovers just outside the room, waiting for an answer. Nino reaches out and grabs his hand.

"You're paying."
